On June 21st, 2015 the Art + Plug helps the artist talk at River Ayeyarwaddy Art Gallery. It is artist talk program of Art + Plug who the artist Sonny Nyein told about the Myanmar Modern Art to Contemporary Art. It is an artist Sonny Nyein is the third generation of Myanmar Modernism Art. He studied the art form U Ba Thet, U Ba Yin Ka Lay, Kin Maung Yin and Bagyi Aung Soe. There was the notable artist of Myanmar Art. Bagyi Aung Soe was a father of Myanmar Modernism Art. Sonny Nyein studied under the Bagyi Aung Soe. Sonny Nyein said that Bagyi Aung Soe taught the Sculpture. Anybody didn’t believe that. Bagyi Aung Soe was a painter and he was not a sculptor.
But Bagyi Aung Soe taught Sonny Nyein what sculpture is. One of the meetings with Sonny Nyein and Bagyin Aung Soe. Bagyin Aung Soe asked the question to Sonny Nyein that what the sculpture is. Sonny Nyein told the sculpture uses wood or rock or something. Bagyi Aung Soe said “NO”, it is not a sculpture and find it. Sonny Nyein has fined and thought what sculpture is. One day, Sonny Nyein has found Harbeart Read, the Meaning of Art (1931). The Meaning of Art said the sculpture is 3D. Sonny Nyein said to Bagyi Aung Soe that. Bagyi Aung Soe told that “Yes, you are now a sculptor”
